We offer a full range of crane operator certification courses, including NCCCO mobile crane operator prep, signal person training, and rigging certification. All classes are designed to meet OSHA and ANSI standards, and are taught by experienced instructors with decades in the field.

One way to get your certification is through a NCCER accredited program. NCCER is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) education foundation with a goal of developing a safe and productive workforce through a standardized training and credentialing program. With over 4,000 NCCER-accredited training and assessment locations across the United States, NCCER has developed standardized construction and maintenance curriculum and assessments with portable credentials for more than 70 craft areas including crane operation.

While training is not required, the written exam focuses on a range of topics related to the crane industry, and the practical exam challenges newcomers and seasoned pros alike. We highly recommended completing training to increase your chances of passing the written and practical exam on the first go!

Yes! NJ Crane Expert has Spanish-speaking instructors for different safety courses that include: Bucket Truck, Chainsaw, Arborist Safety, and much more to come!

Depending on your score you may retake the test within a 30 day window. You will not need to take the class again and can schedule a date with us for when it most convenient for you. You may take the exam up to 4 times within a year, but only twice within a 30 day window.

NJ Crane Expert provides a stick crane and knuckleboom for testing use during each NCCER Crane Certification Course. However, you may certainly bring your own machine as we have the appropriate usage space.

The number of training locations and providers can be overwhelming. Where do you start? Who do you pick? At the risk of sounding self promotional, we offer NCCER accredited training with a 99% pass rate. Our certification program consists of one or two days of education followed by a final day of testing and evaluation. Our services are flexible; depending on the amount of attendees, we can come to you! If you are part of a smaller group or looking for training as an individual please contact us for additional information.
Once the NCCER written exam and practical exam have been passed, certification will be granted and crane operators will be able to work in compliance with OSHA standards. The certification is good for 5 years. Before a certification expires, an operator must retake the written exam and practical exam.

To operate a crane in New Jersey, you must have a valid NCCCO certification and comply with state and federal requirements, including OSHA guidelines. Our training programs are designed to prepare you for NCCCO written and practical exams so you can meet all licensing standards.
